how does a grapevine compare to a tree?

15:1 여호와의 말씀이 내게 임하여 이르시되

1 Then this message came to me from the Lord：

2 인자야 포도나무가 모든 나무보다 나은 것이 무엇이랴 숲속의 여러 나무 가운데에 있는 그 포도나무 가지가 나은 것이 무엇이랴

2 "Son of man, how does a grapevine compare to a tree? Is a vine's wood as useful as the wood of a tree?

3 그 나무를 가지고 무엇을 제조할 수 있겠느냐 그것으로 무슨 그릇을 걸 못을 만들 수 있겠느냐

3 Can its wood be used for making things, like pegs to hang up pots and pans?

제가 사람의 생각으로 하나님을 바라보았으니, 제게 주의 자비를 베푸소서.

When I am searching for you with human’s wisdom, my father, have mercy on me.

아버지께서 제게 찾으시는 것은 ‘신실함’입니다. 저의 신실치 못함을 용서하옵소서.

Yes, Lord. You are looking for “fidelity”. So have pity on “my unfaithfulness”

이스라엘이 하나님을 버리고 헛된 신을 의지할 때, 하나님이 이스라엘을 벌하셨습니다.

When Israel relied on “the false god” they adandoned You. So You punished the Israelites.

‘예수 그리스도를 믿는다’라는 고백이 제 삶에서 ‘거룩한 행함’으로 나타나게 하옵소서.

Therefore let my confession of “Believing in Jesus Christ” results in “Holy behaviors” to appear in my life.

사람의 능력과 권세를 의지하지 않고, 오직 주의 사랑과 능력을 의지하게 하옵소서.

Let me only rely on “Your Love and Power” not “Worldly power and authority."

 

주님이 저의 지혜, 힘, 생명이 되옵소서.

May You become my wisdom, power, and life.
