1 This is the list of Israelite generals and captains, and their officers, who served the king by supervising the army divisions that were on duty each month of the year. Each division served for one month and had 24,000 troops.

23 When David took his census, he did not count those who were younger than twenty years of age, because the LORD had promised to make the Israelites as numerous as the stars in heaven.

24 Joab son of Zeruiah began the census but never finished it because the anger of God fell on Israel. The total number was never recorded in King David's official records.

25 Azmaveth son of Adiel was in charge of the palace treasuries. Jonathan son of Uzziah was in charge of the regional treasuries throughout the towns, villages, and fortresses of Israel.

26 Ezri son of Kelub was in charge of the field workers who farmed the king's lands.

31 Jaziz the Hagrite was in charge of the king's flocks of sheep and goats. All these officials were overseers of King David's property.

32 Jonathan, David's uncle, was a wise counselor to the king, a man of great insight, and a scribe. Jehiel the Hacmonite was responsible for teaching the king's sons.

33 Ahithophel was the royal adviser. Hushai the Arkite was the king's friend.

34 Ahithophel was succeeded by Jehoiada son of Benaiah and by Abiathar. Joab was commander of the king's army.

28.

1 <성전 건축을 위한 다윗의 계획> 다윗이 이스라엘의 모든 관리를 예루살렘에 불러 모았습니다. 그들은 각 지파의 관리, 왕을 섬기는 부대의 사령관, 천부장과 백부장, 왕과 그의 아들이 가진 모든 재산과 가축을 맡은 관리, 왕궁 관리의 지도자, 용사들과 모든 용감한 전사들이었습니다.

1 David summoned all the officials of Israel to Jerusalem - the leaders of the tribes, the commanders of the army divisions, the other generals and captains, the overseers of the royal property and livestock, the palace officials, the mighty men, and all the other brave warriors in the kingdom.

2 다윗 왕이 일어나 말했습니다. "내 형제들과 내 백성들아, 내 말을 잘 들으라. 내가 마음속에 우리 하나님의 발 받침판인 여호와의 언약궤를 둘 집을 지을 생각이었다. 그리하여 나는 성전을 지을 준비를 했다.

2 David rose to his feet and said： "My brothers and my people! It was my desire to build a temple where the Ark of the LORD's Covenant, God's footstool, could rest permanently. I made the necessary preparations for building it,

3 그러나 하나님께서 내게 '내 이름을 위해 집을 지을 사람은 네가 아니다. 너는 용사라 피를 너무 많이 흘렸기 때문에 할 수 없다'라고 말씀하셨다.

3 but God said to me, 'You must not build a temple to honor my name, for you are a warrior and have shed much blood.'

4 그러나 이스라엘의 하나님 여호와께서는 우리의 모든 집안에서 나를 선택해 영원히 이스라엘을 다스릴 왕이 되게 하셨다. 그는 유다를 지도자로 선택하셨고 유다의 집에서는 내 집안을 선택하셨으며 내 아버지의 아들 가운데서는 나를 기뻐하셔서 온 이스라엘을 다스릴 왕으로 삼으셨다.

4 "Yet the LORD, the God of Israel, has chosen me from among all my father's family to be king over Israel forever. For he has chosen the tribe of Judah to rule, and from among the families of Judah he chose my father's family. And from among my father's sons the LORD was pleased to make me king over all Israel.

5 여호와께서 내게 아들을 많이 주셨는데 내 모든 아들 가운데서는 내 아들 솔로몬을 선택해 이스라엘 위에 있는 여호와의 나라의 왕의 자리에 앉게 하시고 이스라엘을 다스리게 하셨다.

5 And from among my sons - for the LORD has given me many - he chose Solomon to succeed me on the throne of Israel and to rule over the LORD's kingdom.

6 여호와께서 내게 말씀하셨다. '네 아들 솔로몬이 내 집과 내 마당을 지을 사람이다. 내가 솔로몬을 내 아들로 선택했고 나는 그의 아버지가 될 것이다.

6 He said to me, 'Your son Solomon will build my Temple and its courtyards, for I have chosen him as my son, and I will be his father.

7 그가 만약 변하지 않고 지금처럼 내 규례와 율례를 힘써 지키면 내가 그의 나라를 영원히 세울 것이다.'

7 And if he continues to obey my commands and regulations as he does now, I will make his kingdom last forever.'

8 그러므로 이제 너희는 온 이스라엘과 여호와의 회중이 보는 앞에서, 또 우리 하나님께서 들으시는 가운데 너희 하나님 여호와의 모든 명령을 지키려고 애쓰라. 그래서 너희가 이 좋은 땅을 물려받아 누리고 너희 자손에게 이 땅을 영원히 넘겨줄 수 있도록 하라.

8 "So now, with God as our witness, and in the sight of all Israel - the LORD's assembly - I give you this charge. Be careful to obey all the commands of the LORD your God, so that you may continue to possess this good land and leave it to your children as a permanent inheritance.

9 내 아들 솔로몬아, 하나님을 네 아버지로 알고 온 마음을 드리며 기꺼이 그분을 섬겨라. 여호와께서는 모든 마음을 살피시고 사람의 생각과 의도를 헤아리신다. 만약 네가 그분을 찾으면 만날 것이요, 만약 네가 그분을 버리면 그분이 너를 영원히 버리실 것이다.

9 "And Solomon, my son, learn to know the God of your ancestors intimately. Worship and serve him with your whole heart and a willing mind. For the LORD sees every heart and knows every plan and thought. If you seek him, you will find him. But if you forsake him, he will reject you forever.

10 그러므로 너는 깊이 생각하여라. 여호와께서 너를 선택해 성소로서 성전을 짓도록 하셨기 때문이다. 힘써서 이 일을 하여라."

10 So take this seriously. The LORD has chosen you to build a Temple as his sanctuary. Be strong, and do the work."

11 그다음에 다윗은 자기 아들 솔로몬에게 성전 현관, 집, 창고, 다락, 골방, 속죄소의 설계도를 주었습니다.

11 Then David gave Solomon the plans for the Temple and its surroundings, including the entry room, the storerooms, the upstairs rooms, the inner rooms, and the inner sanctuary - which was the place of atonement.

12 그는 성령께서 그 마음에 불어넣으신 것, 곧 여호와의 성전 뜰과 모든 주변 방들과 하나님의 성전의 창고와 제사 물건 창고에 대한 모든 계획을 그에게 알려 주었습니다.

12 David also gave Solomon all the plans he had in mind for the courtyards of the LORD's Temple, the outside rooms, the treasuries, and the rooms for the gifts dedicated to the LORD.

13 그는 솔로몬에게 제사장들과 레위 사람의 계열에 대해, 여호와의 성전에서 섬기는 모든 일들에 대해, 또한 그 섬기는 일에 쓰일 모든 물건들에 대해 설명해 주었습니다.

13 The king also gave Solomon the instructions concerning the work of the various divisions of priests and Levites in the Temple of the LORD. And he gave specifications for the items in the Temple that were to be used for worship.

14 그는 여러 종류의 제사에 쓰일 모든 금그릇에 대해 금의 무게를 정해 주었고 여러 종류의 제사에 쓰일 모든 은그릇에 대해 은의 무게를 정해 주었습니다.

14 David gave instructions regarding how much gold and silver should be used to make the items needed for service.

15 곧 금 등잔대와 금 등잔의 금의 무게를 적당하게 달아 정했고 또 은 등잔대와 은 등잔의 은의 무게는 각각 쓰임새에 따라 적당하게 정해 주었습니다.

15 He told Solomon the amount of gold needed for the gold lampstands and lamps, and the amount of silver for the silver lampstands and lamps, depending on how each would be used.

16 진설병을 놓을 상에 들어갈 금의 무게를 정하고 은으로 만든 상에 들어갈 은의 무게도 정해 주었습니다.

16 He designated the amount of gold for the table on which the Bread of the Presence would be placed and the amount of silver for other tables.

17 포크와 접시와 잔을 만들 순금의 무게, 곧 금잔을 만들 순금의 무게, 은잔을 만들 은의 무게도 정해 주었습니다.

17 David also designated the amount of gold for the solid gold meat hooks used to handle the sacrificial meat and for the basins, pitchers, and dishes, as well as the amount of silver for every dish.

18 향을 피우는 제단을 만들 순금의 무게와 또한 그들의 날개를 펴서 여호와의 언약궤를 덮고 있는 그룹을 금으로 만드는 데 필요한 설계도를 주었습니다.

18 He designated the amount of refined gold for the altar of incense. Finally, he gave him a plan for the LORD's "chariot" - the gold cherubim whose wings were stretched out over the Ark of the LORD's Covenant.

19 다윗이 말했습니다. "이 모든 것은 여호와께서 내게 주신 것을 내가 받아 적은 것이다."

19 "Every part of this plan," David told Solomon, "was given to me in writing from the hand of the LORD."

20 다윗은 또 그 아들 솔로몬에게 말했습니다. "강하고 용감하게 이 일을 하여라. 두려워하거나 놀라지 마라. 내 하나님 여호와께서 너와 함께하시기 때문이다. 여호와의 성전을 짓는 이 일을 모두 마칠 때까지 여호와께서 너를 떠나지 않고 너를 버리지 않으실 것이다.

20 Then David continued, "Be strong and courageous, and do the work. Don't be afraid or discouraged, for the LORD God, my God, is with you. He will not fail you or forsake you. He will see to it that all the work related to the Temple of the LORD is finished correctly.

21 제사장들과 레위 사람들은 하나님의 성전에서 짓는 모든 일에 도울 준비가 돼 있으며 기술이 있는 사람 가운데 뜻있는 사람은 누구나 기쁜 마음으로 너를 도울 것이다. 모든 지도자들과 백성들이 네 모든 명령을 따를 것이다."

21 The various divisions of priests and Levites will serve in the Temple of God. Others with skills of every kind will volunteer, and the officials and the entire nation are at your command."

29.

1 <성전 건축을 위한 예물들> 다윗 왕이 모인 모든 이스라엘 백성에게 말했습니다. "내 아들 솔로몬을 하나님께서 선택하셨으나 아직 어리고 경험이 부족하다. 이 성전은 사람을 위한 것이 아니라 여호와 하나님을 위한 것이므로 이 일은 중요하다.

1 Then King David turned to the entire assembly and said, "My son Solomon, whom God has clearly chosen as the next king of Israel, is still young and inexperienced. The work ahead of him is enormous, for the Temple he will build is not for mere mortals - it is for the LORD God himself!

2 하나님의 성전을 위해 내가 온 힘을 다해 준비해 두었다. 금이 필요한 데는 금을, 은이 필요한 데는 은을, 청동이 필요한 데는 청동을, 철이 필요한 데는 철을, 나무가 필요한 데는 나무를 준비했다. 또 마노, 꾸밀 보석, 반짝이는 여러 가지 색의 돌, 갖가지 귀한 보석, 대리석을 매우 많이 준비했다.

2 Using every resource at my command, I have gathered as much as I could for building the Temple of my God. Now there is enough gold, silver, bronze, iron, and wood, as well as great quantities of onyx, other precious stones, costly jewels, and all kinds of fine stone and marble.

3 거룩한 성전을 위해 내가 준비한 것에 더해 하나님의 성전에 바칠 마음으로 내가 가진 금은을 하나님의 성전에 드렸다.

3 "And now, because of my devotion to the Temple of my God, I am giving all of my own private treasures of gold and silver to help in the construction. This is in addition to the building materials I have already collected for his holy Temple.

4 오빌의 금 3,000달란트와 순은 7,000 달란트는 성전 벽을 덮고

4 I am donating more than 112 tons of gold from Ophir and 262 tons of refined silver to be used for overlaying the walls of the buildings

5 and for the other gold and silver work to be done by the craftsmen. Now then, who will follow my example and give offerings to the LORD today?"

6 그러자 지파의 우두머리들과 이스라엘 지파의 지도자들과 천부장들과 백부장들과 왕의 일을 맡은 관리들이 즐겁게 드렸습니다.

6 Then the family leaders, the leaders of the tribes of Israel, the generals and captains of the army, and the king's administrative officers all gave willingly.

7 그들이 하나님의 성전 짓는 일을 위해 드린 것은 금 5,000달란트, 금 1만 다릭, 은 1만 달란트, 청동 1만 8,000달란트, 철 10만 달란트였습니다.

7 For the construction of the Temple of God, they gave about 188 tons of gold, 10,000 gold coins, 375 tons of silver, 675 tons of bronze, and 3,750 tons of iron.

8 보석을 가진 사람은 누구든지 그것을 여호와의 성전 창고에 드려 게르손 사람 여히엘이 관리하도록 했습니다.

8 They also contributed numerous precious stones, which were deposited in the treasury of the house of the LORD under the care of Jehiel, a descendant of Gershon.

9 백성들은 지도자들이 자진해서 드리는 것을 두고 기뻐했습니다. 그들이 한결같이 기쁨으로 마음을 다해 여호와께 드렸기 때문입니다. 다윗 왕도 무척 기뻐했습니다.

9 The people rejoiced over the offerings, for they had given freely and wholeheartedly to the LORD, and King David was filled with joy.

10 <다윗의 기도> 다윗은 온 이스라엘의 모인 무리들이 보는 앞에서 여호와를 찬송하며 말했습니다. "우리 조상 이스라엘의 하나님 여호와여, 주께 찬양을 드립니다. 주를 영원토록, 영원토록 찬양합니다.

10 Then David praised the LORD in the presence of the whole assembly： "O LORD, the God of our ancestor Israel, may you be praised forever and ever!

11 여호와여, 위대함과 능력과 영광과 승리와 위엄이 다 주의 것입니다. 하늘과 땅에 있는 모든 것이 다 주의 것입니다. 여호와여, 나라도 주의 것입니다. 주는 높으셔서 모든 것을 다스리시며 세상 모든 것의 머리이십니다.

11 Yours, O LORD, is the greatness, the power, the glory, the victory, and the majesty. Everything in the heavens and on earth is yours, O LORD, and this is your kingdom. We adore you as the one who is over all things.

12 부와 명예가 주께로부터 나옵니다. 주께서는 모든 것을 다스리시는 분입니다. 주의 손에는 힘과 능력이 있어 모든 사람을 누구든지 높이시고 힘을 주실 수 있습니다.

12 Wealth and honor come from you alone, for you rule over everything. Power and might are in your hand, and at your discretion people are made great and given strength.

13 우리 하나님이여, 이제 우리가 주께 감사드립니다. 주의 영광스러운 이름을 찬양합니다.

13 "O our God, we thank you and praise your glorious name!

14 그러나 제가 누구이기에, 제 백성들이 누구이기에 이렇게 많은 것을 드릴 수 있게 하셨습니까? 모든 것은 주께로부터 나온 것이니 우리가 주의 손에서 받은 것을 드린 것일 뿐입니다.

14 But who am I, and who are my people, that we could give anything to you? Everything we have has come from you, and we give you only what you first gave us!

15 우리는 우리 조상들처럼 주께서 보시기에 나그네이며 잠깐 머무는 낯선 사람들입니다. 이 땅에서 사는 날은 그림자 같아서 희망이 없습니다.

15 We are here for only a moment, visitors and strangers in the land as our ancestors were before us. Our days on earth are like a passing shadow, gone so soon without a trace.

16 우리 하나님 여호와여, 주의 거룩한 이름을 위해 성전을 지어 드리려고 준비한 이 모든 풍족한 것은 다 주의 손에서 나온 것이며 모든 것이 다 주의 것입니다.

16 "O LORD our God, even this material we have gathered to build a Temple to honor your holy name comes from you! It all belongs to you!

17 내 하나님이여, 주께서는 마음을 살피시고 정직함을 기뻐하시는 줄 압니다. 이 모든 것은 제가 정직한 마음으로 즐겁게 드린 것입니다. 이제 여기 있는 주의 백성들이 즐겁게 주께 드리는 모습을 보니 매우 기쁩니다.

17 I know, my God, that you examine our hearts and rejoice when you find integrity there. You know I have done all this with good motives, and I have watched your people offer their gifts willingly and joyously.

18 "O LORD, the God of our ancestors Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, make your people always want to obey you. See to it that their love for you never changes.

19 또 내 아들 솔로몬이 온 마음을 바쳐 주의 명령과 법과 율례를 지켜 이 모든 일을 하고 제가 성전을 짓기 위해 준비한 모든 것으로 성전을 짓게 해 주십시오."

19 Give my son Solomon the wholehearted desire to obey all your commands, laws, and decrees, and to do everything necessary to build this Temple, for which I have made these preparations."

20 그리고 다윗이 모인 온 무리에게 말했습니다. "너희 하나님 여호와를 찬양하라." 그러자 백성들은 모두 그들 조상의 하나님 여호와를 찬양했습니다. 그들은 여호와와 왕 앞에서 머리를 숙여 절했습니다.

20 Then David said to the whole assembly, "Give praise to the LORD your God!" And the entire assembly praised the LORD, the God of their ancestors, and they bowed low and knelt before the LORD and the king.

21 <솔로몬이 왕으로 공인되다> 이튿날 그들은 여호와께 제사를 드리고 번제물을 바쳤습니다. 수송아지 1,000마리, 숫양 1,000마리, 어린양 1,000마리, 또 부어 드리는 전제물을 바쳤습니다. 온 이스라엘을 위해 많은 다른 제물을 드렸습니다.

21 The next day they brought 1,000 bulls, 1,000 rams, and 1,000 male lambs as burnt offerings to the LORD. They also brought liquid offerings and many other sacrifices on behalf of all Israel.

22 그날 백성들은 여호와 앞에서 크게 기뻐하며 먹고 마셨습니다. 그리고 여호와 앞에서 다윗의 아들 솔로몬에게 기름 부어 다시 왕으로 세우고 사독에게 기름 부어 제사장으로 세웠습니다.

22 They feasted and drank in the LORD's presence with great joy that day.And again they crowned David's son Solomon as their new king. They anointed him before the LORD as their leader, and they anointed Zadok as priest.

23 솔로몬은 여호와께서 주신 자리에 앉아 자기 아버지 다윗을 이어 왕이 됐습니다. 솔로몬이 잘 다스리니 온 이스라엘이 그에게 순종했습니다.

23 So Solomon took the throne of the LORD in place of his father, David, and he succeeded in everything, and all Israel obeyed him.

24 모든 지도자들과 용사들과 다윗 왕의 여러 아들도 솔로몬 왕에게 충성을 맹세했습니다.

24 All the officials, the warriors, and the sons of King David pledged their loyalty to King Solomon.

25 여호와께서 온 이스라엘이 보는 앞에서 솔로몬을 높여 주셨고 왕의 위엄을 주셔서 이전의 어떤 이스라엘 왕보다 더 뛰어나게 하셨습니다.

25 And the LORD exalted Solomon in the sight of all Israel, and he gave Solomon greater royal splendor than any king in Israel before him.

26 <다윗의 죽음> 이새의 아들 다윗은 온 이스라엘을 다스렸습니다.

26 So David son of Jesse reigned over all Israel.

27 그는 7년 동안 헤브론에서 다스렸고 33년 동안 예루살렘에서 다스렸습니다. 모두 40년 동안 이스라엘을 다스렸습니다.

27 He reigned over Israel for forty years, seven of them in Hebron and thirty-three in Jerusalem.

28 다윗은 나이가 많아 늙도록 부자였으며 높임을 받고 영예를 누리다가 죽었습니다. 그 아들 솔로몬이 뒤를 이어서 왕이 됐습니다.

28 He died at a ripe old age, having enjoyed long life, wealth, and honor. Then his son Solomon ruled in his place.

29 다윗 왕이 다스리던 때 있던 모든 일은 처음부터 끝까지 선견자 사무엘의 글과 예언자 나단의 글과 선견자 갓의 글에 적혀 있습니다.

29 All the events of King David's reign, from beginning to end, are written in The Record of Samuel the Seer, The Record of Nathan the Prophet, and The Record of Gad the Seer.

30 These accounts include the mighty deeds of his reign and everything that happened to him and to Israel and to all the surrounding kingdoms.
