14.

1 <다윗의 왕궁과 가족 (삼하 5:11-16)> 그때 두로 왕 히람이 다윗에게 사절단을 보냈는데 다윗에게 왕궁을 지어 주려고 백향목과 함께 석수장이와 목수들을 같이 보냈습니다.

1 Then King Hiram of Tyre sent messengers to David, along with cedar timber, and stonemasons and carpenters to build him a palace.

2 다윗은 여호와께서 자신을 이스라엘을 다스릴 왕으로 세워 주신 것과 그 백성 이스라엘을 위해 그의 나라를 높이셨다는 것을 깨달았습니다.

2 And David realized that the LORD had confirmed him as king over Israel and had greatly blessed his kingdom for the sake of his people Israel.

3 예루살렘에서 다윗은 또 많은 아내들을 얻었고 더 많은 아들딸들을 낳았습니다.

3 Then David married more wives in Jerusalem, and they had more sons and daughters.

4 그가 예루살렘에서 낳은 아들의 이름은 삼무아, 소밥, 나단, 솔로몬,

4 These are the names of David's sons who were born in Jerusalem： Shammua, Shobab, Nathan, Solomon,

5 입할, 엘리수아, 엘벨렛,

5 Ibhar, Elishua, Elpelet,

6 노가, 네벡, 야비아,

6 Nogah, Nepheg, Japhia,

7 엘리사마, 브엘랴다, 엘리벨렛입니다.

7 Elishama, Eliada, and Eliphelet.

8 <다윗이 블레셋을 무찌르다 (삼하 5:17-25)> 다윗이 기름 부음을 받아 온 이스라엘을 다스릴 왕이 됐다는 말을 블레셋 사람들이 듣고, 온 블레셋 군대가 일어나 다윗을 찾으러 올라왔습니다. 다윗은 이 말을 듣고 그들과 싸우기 위해 앞으로 나아갔습니다.

8 When the Philistines heard that David had been anointed king over all Israel, they mobilized all their forces to capture him. But David was told they were coming, so he marched out to meet them.

9 그때 블레셋 사람들은 이미 와서 르바임 골짜기를 공격했습니다.

9 The Philistines arrived and made a raid in the valley of Rephaim.

10 다윗이 하나님께 물었습니다. "제가 나가서 블레셋 사람들을 공격해도 되겠습니까? 저들을 제 손에 넘겨주시겠습니까?" 여호와께서 다윗에게 대답하셨습니다. "가라. 내가 저들을 네 손에 넘겨주겠다."

10 So David asked God, "Should I go out to fight the Philistines? Will you hand them over to me?" The LORD replied, "Yes, go ahead. I will hand them over to you."

11 그리하여 다윗과 그의 군사들은 바알브라심으로 올라가 그곳에서 블레셋 군사들을 쳐부수었습니다. 다윗이 말했습니다. "여호와께서 봇물을 터뜨려 물이 쏟아지듯이 내 손으로 내 원수들을 치셨다." 그래서 그곳은 바알브라심이라고 불리게 됐습니다.

11 So David and his troops went up to Baal-perazim and defeated the Philistines there. "God did it!" David exclaimed. "He used me to burst through my enemies like a raging flood!" So they named that place Baal-perazim (which means "the Lord who bursts through").

12 블레셋 군사들은 우상들을 그곳에 두고 달아났습니다. 다윗은 그것들을 불사르라고 명령했습니다.

12 The Philistines had abandoned their gods there, so David gave orders to burn them.

13 블레셋 사람들이 다시 골짜기를 공격했습니다.

13 But after a while the Philistines returned and raided the valley again.

14 다윗이 다시 하나님께 물었습니다. 하나님께서 그에게 말씀하셨습니다. "곧장 올라가지 말고 블레셋 주변에서 원을 그리듯 뒤를 돌아가서 뽕나무 맞은편에서 공격해라.

14 And once again David asked God what to do. "Do not attack them straight on," God replied. "Instead, circle around behind and attack them near the poplar trees.

15 뽕나무 꼭대기에서 걸음 걷는 소리가 들리자마자 싸우러 나가라. 여호와께서 블레셋 군대를 치시려고 네 앞서 먼저 나가셨다."

15 When you hear a sound like marching feet in the tops of the poplar trees, go out and attack! That will be the signal that God is moving ahead of you to strike down the Philistine army."

16 다윗은 하나님께서 명령하신 대로 했고 다윗의 군사들은 기브온에서부터 게셀에 이르기까지 블레셋 군사들을 쳐 죽였습니다.

16 So David did what God commanded, and they struck down the Philistine army all the way from Gibeon to Gezer.

17 이렇게 해 다윗의 이름이 모든 나라에 알려졌습니다. 여호와께서는 모든 나라들이 다윗을 두려워하게 하셨습니다.

17 So David's fame spread everywhere, and the LORD caused all the nations to fear David.

15.

1 <하나님의 궤를 예루살렘으로 옮기다 (삼하 6:12-22)> 다윗은 다윗 성에 자신을 위해 궁궐을 세우고 하나님의 궤를 모셔 둘 장소를 마련하고 장막을 세웠습니다.

1 David now built several buildings for himself in the City of David. He also prepared a place for the Ark of God and set up a special tent for it.

2 다윗이 말했습니다. "레위 사람 외에는 어느 누구도 하나님의 궤를 멜 수 없다. 여호와께서 그들을 선택해 여호와의 궤를 메고 영원히 그분을 섬기도록 하셨기 때문이다."

2 Then he commanded, "No one except the Levites may carry the Ark of God. The LORD has chosen them to carry the Ark of the LORD and to serve him forever."

3 다윗은 여호와의 궤를 메다가 자신이 마련해 둔 장소에 옮기려고 온 이스라엘을 예루살렘으로 불러 모았습니다.

3 Then David summoned all Israel to Jerusalem to bring the Ark of the LORD to the place he had prepared for it.

4 그가 불러 모은 사람은 아론의 자손과 레위 사람으로

4 This is the number of the descendants of Aaron (the priests) and the Levites who were called together.

5 그핫 자손에서 우두머리 우리엘과 120명의 형제들,

5 From the clan of Kohath, 120, with Uriel as their leader.

6 므라리 자손에서 우두머리 아사야와 220명의 형제들,

6 From the clan of Merari, 220, with Asaiah as their leader.

7 게르솜 자손에서 우두머리 요엘과 130명의 형제들,

7 From the clan of Gershon, 130, with Joel as their leader.

8 엘리사반 자손에서 우두머리 스마야와 200명의 형제들,

8 From the descendants of Elizaphan, 200, with Shemaiah as their leader.

9 헤브론 자손에서 우두머리 엘리엘과 80명의 형제들,

9 From the descendants of Hebron, 80, with Eliel as their leader.

10 웃시엘 자손에서 우두머리 암미나답과 112명의 형제들입니다.

10 From the descendants of Uzziel, 112, with Amminadab as their leader.

11 그리고 다윗은 두 제사장 사독과 아비아달, 레위 사람 우리엘, 아사야, 요엘, 스마야, 엘리엘, 암미나답을 불렀습니다.

11 Then David summoned the priests, Zadok and Abiathar, and these Levite leaders： Uriel, Asaiah, Joel, Shemaiah, Eliel, and Amminadab.

12 다윗이 그들에게 말했습니다. "너희는 레위 사람의 우두머리다. 너희와 너희 형제 레위 사람은 자신을 거룩하게 하고 이스라엘의 하나님 여호와의 궤를 내가 마련해 둔 장소로 모셔 오도록 하라.

12 He said to them, "You are the leaders of the Levite families. You must purify yourselves and all your fellow Levites, so you can bring the Ark of the LORD, the God of Israel, to the place I have prepared for it.

13 여호와께서 우리에게 노해 치신 것은 우리가 하나님의 궤를 옮길 때 처음부터 너희 레위 사람이 어깨에 메지 않았기 때문이었다. 우리가 하나님의 궤를 어떻게 옮겨야 할지 여호와께 그 방법을 먼저 물어보지 않았기 때문이다."

13 Because you Levites did not carry the Ark the first time, the anger of the LORD our God burst out against us. We failed to ask God how to move it properly."

14 그러자 제사장들과 레위 사람은 이스라엘의 하나님 여호와의 궤를 메어 모셔 오기 위해 자신의 몸을 거룩하게 했습니다.

14 So the priests and the Levites purified themselves in order to bring the Ark of the LORD, the God of Israel, to Jerusalem.

15 그리고 레위 사람은 하나님의 궤를 막대에 꿰어 어깨에 메고 옮겼습니다. 모세가 여호와의 말씀을 따라 명령한 대로였습니다.

15 Then the Levites carried the Ark of God on their shoulders with its carrying poles, just as the LORD had instructed Moses.

16 다윗은 레위 사람의 지도자들에게 말해 형제들을 세워 수금과 비파와 심벌즈의 반주에 맞춰 즐거운 노래를 크게 부르게 했습니다.

16 David also ordered the Levite leaders to appoint a choir of Levites who were singers and musicians to sing joyful songs to the accompaniment of harps, lyres, and cymbals.

17 레위 사람이 요엘의 아들 헤만과 그 형제 가운데 베레야의 아들 아삽, 그 형제 므라리 사람 가운데 구사야의 아들 에단을 세웠고

17 So the Levites appointed Heman son of Joel along with his fellow Levites： Asaph son of Berekiah, and Ethan son of Kushaiah from the clan of Merari.

18 그다음으로는 그 형제들인 스가랴, 벤, 야아시엘, 스미라못, 여히엘, 운니, 엘리압, 브나야, 마아세야, 맛디디야, 엘리블레후, 믹네야, 문지기들인 오벧에돔과 여이엘을 세웠습니다.

18 The following men were chosen as their assistants： Zechariah, Jaaziel, Shemiramoth, Jehiel, Unni, Eliab, Benaiah, Maaseiah, Mattithiah, Eliphelehu, Mikneiah, and the gatekeepers - Obed-edom and Jeiel.

19 연주자들인 헤만, 아삽, 에단은 청동 심벌즈를 치게 했습니다.

19 The musicians Heman, Asaph, and Ethan were chosen to sound the bronze cymbals.

20 스가랴, 아시엘, 스미라못, 여히엘, 운니, 엘리압, 마아세야, 브나야는 알라모트에 맞춰 비파를 타게 했고

20 Zechariah, Aziel, Shemiramoth, Jehiel, Unni, Eliab, Maaseiah, and Benaiah were chosen to play the harps.

21 맛디디야, 엘리블레후, 믹네야, 오벧에돔, 여이엘, 아사시야는 쉐미니트에 맞춰 수금을 켜게 했습니다.

21 Mattithiah, Eliphelehu, Mikneiah, Obed-edom, Jeiel, and Azaziah were chosen to play the lyres.

22 레위 사람의 우두머리인 그나냐는 노래를 맡게 했습니다. 그는 노래를 잘했으므로 노래를 가르쳤습니다.

22 Kenaniah, the head Levite, was chosen as the choir leader because of his skill.

23 베레갸와 엘가나는 궤 앞에서 문을 지키게 했습니다.

23 Berekiah and Elkanah were chosen to guard the Ark.

24 제사장들인 스바냐, 요사밧, 느다넬, 아미새, 스가랴, 브나야, 엘리에셀은 하나님의 궤 앞에서 나팔을 불게 했습니다. 오벧에돔과 여히야도 역시 궤 앞에서 문을 지키게 했습니다.

24 Shebaniah, Joshaphat, Nethanel, Amasai, Zechariah, Benaiah, and Eliezer - all of whom were priests - were chosen to blow the trumpets as they marched in front of the Ark of God. Obed-edom and Jehiah were chosen to guard the Ark.

25 이렇게 다윗과 이스라엘의 장로들과 천부장들은 오벧에돔의 집에 가서 여호와의 언약궤를 메어 왔고 그들은 기뻐했습니다.

25 Then David and the elders of Israel and the generals of the army went to the house of Obed-edom to bring the Ark of the LORD's Covenant up to Jerusalem with a great celebration.

26 하나님께서 여호와의 언약궤를 메어 오는 레위 사람을 도와주셨으므로 수송아지 일곱 마리와 숫양 일곱 마리를 제물로 바쳤습니다.

26 And because God was clearly helping the Levites as they carried the Ark of the LORD's Covenant, they sacrificed seven bulls and seven rams.

27 그때 다윗은 고운 삼베로 만든 겉옷을 입고 있었는데 궤를 메고 오는 모든 레위 사람이나 노래하는 사람이나 성가대를 지휘하는 그나냐도 모두 고운 삼베옷을 입었습니다. 다윗은 또 삼베로 만든 에봇을 입었습니다.

27 David was dressed in a robe of fine linen, as were all the Levites who carried the Ark, and also the singers, and Kenaniah the choir leader. David was also wearing a priestly garment.

28 온 이스라엘은 뿔나팔과 나팔을 큰 소리로 불고 심벌즈를 치며 비파와 수금을 힘 있게 켜며 여호와의 언약궤를 메어 왔습니다.

28 So all Israel brought up the Ark of the LORD's Covenant with shouts of joy, the blowing of rams' horns and trumpets, the crashing of cymbals, and loud playing on harps and lyres.

29 여호와의 언약궤가 다윗의 성으로 들어올 때 사울의 딸 미갈이 창문으로 내다보고 있었습니다. 미갈은 다윗 왕이 춤을 추며 즐거워하는 것을 보고 마음속으로 왕을 비웃었습니다.

29 But as the Ark of the LORD's Covenant entered the City of David, Michal, the daughter of Saul, looked down from her window. When she saw King David skipping about and laughing with joy, she was filled with contempt for him.

16.

1 <하나님의 궤 앞에서 섬기는 자들> 그들은 하나님의 궤를 모셔다가 다윗이 친 장막 안에 두었고 하나님 앞에 번제와 화목제를 드렸습니다.

1 They brought the Ark of God and placed it inside the special tent David had prepared for it. And they presented burnt offerings and peace offerings to God.

2 다윗은 번제와 화목제를 다 드린 후 백성들을 여호와의 이름으로 축복했습니다.

2 When he had finished his sacrifices, David blessed the people in the name of the LORD.

3 그리고 그는 남자 여자 모두 이스라엘 백성 하나하나에게 빵 한 덩이와 고기 한 조각과 건포도 과자 하나를 나눠 주었습니다.

3 Then he gave to every man and woman in all Israel a loaf of bread, a cake of dates, and a cake of raisins.

4 다윗은 몇몇 레위 사람을 뽑아 여호와의 궤 앞에서 섬기고 이스라엘의 하나님 여호와를 찬양하며 감사를 드리게 했습니다.

4 David appointed the following Levites to lead the people in worship before the Ark of the LORD - to invoke his blessings, to give thanks, and to praise the LORD, the God of Israel.

5 그 우두머리는 아삽이었고 그다음은 스가랴, 그다음은 여이엘, 스미라못, 여히엘, 맛디디아, 엘리압, 브나야, 오벧에돔, 여이엘이었습니다. 그들은 비파와 수금을 켜고 아삽은 심벌즈를 치고

5 Asaph, the leader of this group, sounded the cymbals. Second to him was Zechariah, followed by Jeiel, Shemiramoth, Jehiel, Mattithiah, Eliab, Benaiah, Obed-edom, and Jeiel. They played the harps and lyres.

6 제사장인 브나야와 야하시엘은 정해진 시간마다 하나님의 언약궤 앞에서 나팔을 불었습니다.

6 The priests, Benaiah and Jahaziel, played the trumpets regularly before the Ark of God's Covenant.

7 그날 다윗은 아삽과 그 형제들에게 먼저 여호와께 감사하라고 말했습니다.

7 On that day David gave to Asaph and his fellow Levites this song of thanksgiving to the LORD.

8 여호와께 감사를 드리라. 그분의 이름을 부르라. 그분이 하신 일을 모든 민족들에게 알리라.

8 Give thanks to the LORD and proclaim his greatness.Let the whole world know what he has done.

9 그분을 노래하라. 그분을 찬양하라. 그분이 하신 놀라운 일들을 말하라.

9 Sing to him; yes, sing his praises.Tell everyone about his wonderful deeds.

10 그분의 거룩한 이름에 영광이 있기를, 여호와를 찾는 사람들의 마음에 기쁨이 있기를.

10 Exult in his holy name; rejoice, you who worship the LORD.

11 여호와를 바라보고 그분의 힘을 바라보라. 그분의 얼굴을 항상 찾으라.

11 Search for the LORD and for his strength; continually seek him.

12 그분이 하신 놀라운 일과 그분이 베푸신 기적과 그분이 하신 판단을 기억하라.

12 Remember the wonders he has performed, his miracles, and the rulings he has given,

13 이스라엘의 자손아, 그분의 종들아, 야곱의 아들아, 그분이 선택하신 너희들아,

13 you children of his servant Israel, you descendants of Jacob, his chosen ones.

14 그분은 우리 하나님 여호와시다. 그분의 판단이 온 땅에 있구나.

14 He is the LORD our God.His justice is seen throughout the land.

15 그분이 그분의 약속, 곧 천대에 걸쳐 명령하신 말씀을 너희는 영원히 기억하라.

15 Remember his covenant forever - the commitment he made to a thousand generations.

16 아브라함과 맺으신 약속과 이삭에게 맹세하신 약속이 바로 그것이다.

16 This is the covenant he made with Abraham and the oath he swore to Isaac.

17 그분은 이것을 야곱에게 율례로, 이스라엘에게 영원히 계속되는 약속으로 세우셨다.

17 He confirmed it to Jacob as a decree, and to the people of Israel as a never-ending covenant.

18 "내가 너희 몫으로 가나안 땅을 너희에게 주겠다."

18 "I will give you the land of Canaan as your special possession."

19 너희들의 수는 너무나 적어 보잘것없었고, 그 땅에서 낯선 나그네였으며

19 He said this when you were few in number, a tiny group of strangers in Canaan.

20 이 민족 저 민족에게로, 이 나라 저 나라로 떠돌아다녔다.

20 They wandered from nation to nation, from one kingdom to another.

21 그분은 어느 누구도 그들을 억압하지 못하게 하셨고 그들로 인해서 여러 왕들을 꾸짖으셨다.

21 Yet he did not let anyone oppress them.He warned kings on their behalf.

22 "내가 기름 부은 백성을 건드리지 말라. 내 예언자들을 해치지 말라."

22 "Do not touch my chosen people, and do not hurt my prophets."

23 온 땅아, 여호와께 노래를 부르라. 날마다 그분의 구원을 널리 알리라.

23 Let the whole earth sing to the LORD! Each day proclaim the good news that he saves.

24 저 여러 나라에 그분의 영광을 알리라. 그분이 행하신 놀라운 일을 모든 민족들에게 알리라.

24 Publish his glorious deeds among the nations.Tell everyone about the amazing things he does.

25 여호와는 위대하시고 찬양받으시기에 가장 마땅하다. 그분은 모든 신보다 존경받으시고 두려워해야 할 분이시다.

25 Great is the LORD! He is most worthy of praise! He is to be feared above all gods.

26 모든 나라들의 모든 신들은 헛것들이나 여호와께서는 하늘을 만드신 분이다.

26 The gods of other nations are mere idols, but the LORD made the heavens!

27 영광과 위엄이 그분 앞에 있고 힘과 기쁨이 그분이 계시는 곳에 있다.

27 Honor and majesty surround him; strength and joy fill his dwelling.

28 온갖 민족들의 족속들아, 영광과 능력을 여호와께 돌리라. 여호와께 돌리라.

28 O nations of the world, recognize the LORD, recognize that the LORD is glorious and strong.

29 그분의 이름에 걸맞은 영광을 여호와께 돌리라. 그분 앞에 예물을 갖고 나가라. 아름답고 거룩한 것으로 여호와께 절하라.

29 Give to the LORD the glory he deserves! Bring your offering and come into his presence. Worship the LORD in all his holy splendor.

30 온 땅아, 그분 앞에 두려워하며 떨라. 세상이 든든히 세워졌으니 흔들리지 않는다.

30 Let all the earth tremble before him.The world stands firm and cannot be shaken.

31 하늘은 기뻐하고 땅은 즐거워하며 모든 민족들은 "여호와께서 다스리신다!"라고 말하라.

31 Let the heavens be glad, and the earth rejoice! Tell all the nations, "The LORD reigns!"

32 바다와 그 안에 가득한 모든 것이 소리를 낼 것이다. 밭과 그 안의 모든 것이 즐거워할 것이다.

32 Let the sea and everything in it shout his praise! Let the fields and their crops burst out with joy!

33 그때 숲 속의 나무들이 노래할 것이다. 그것들이 즐거워하며 여호와 앞에서 노래할 것이다. 그분이 땅을 심판하러 오시기 때문이다.

33 Let the trees of the forest rustle with praise, for the LORD is coming to judge the earth.

34 여호와께 감사를 드리라. 그분은 선하시며 그분의 사랑은 영원하다.

34 Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good! His faithful love endures forever.

35 너희는 이렇게 외치라. "우리 구원자 하나님이여, 우리를 구원하소서. 우리를 모으시고 모든 나라들에서 우리를 구해 내소서. 우리가 주의 거룩한 이름에 감사를 드리고 주의 영광을 찬양하게 하소서."

35 Cry out, "Save us, O God of our salvation! Gather and rescue us from among the nations, so we can thank your holy name and rejoice and praise you."

36 이스라엘의 하나님 여호와를 찬양하라. 영원토록, 영원토록 찬양하라. 그러자 모든 백성들이 "아멘" 하며 여호와를 찬양했습니다.

36 Praise the LORD, the God of Israel, who lives from everlasting to everlasting! And all the people shouted "Amen!" and praised the LORD.

37 다윗은 아삽과 그 형제들을 하나님의 언약궤 앞에 있게 해 거기서 날마다 정해진 대로 섬기게 했습니다.

37 David arranged for Asaph and his fellow Levites to serve regularly before the Ark of the LORD's Covenant, doing whatever needed to be done each day.

38 또 그들과 함께 일하게 오벧에돔과 68명의 형제들도 두었습니다. 여두둔의 아들 오벧에돔과 호사는 문지기로 삼았습니다.

38 This group included Obed-edom (son of Jeduthun), Hosah, and sixty-eight other Levites as gatekeepers.

39 다윗은 제사장 사독과 그 형제 제사장들을 기브온의 높은 곳에 있는 여호와의 장막 앞에서

39 Meanwhile, David stationed Zadok the priest and his fellow priests at the Tabernacle of the LORD at the place of worship in Gibeon, where they continued to minister before the LORD.

40 여호와께서 이스라엘에게 주신 여호와의 율법에 따라 아침저녁으로 번제단에 번제를 드리게 했습니다.

40 They sacrificed the regular burnt offerings to the LORD each morning and evening on the altar set aside for that purpose, obeying everything written in the Law of the LORD, as he had commanded Israel.

41 그들과 함께 헤만과 여두둔과, 선택을 받아 이름이 기록된 나머지 사람들이 "그분의 사랑은 영원할 것이다" 하며 여호와께 감사를 드렸습니다.

41 David also appointed Heman, Jeduthun, and the others chosen by name to give thanks to the LORD, for "his faithful love endures forever."

42 헤만과 여두둔은 나팔과 심벌즈와 거룩한 노래를 위한 다른 악기들을 연주하게 했습니다. 여두둔의 아들은 문 앞을 지키게 했습니다.

42 They used their trumpets, cymbals, and other instruments to accompany their songs of praise to God. And the sons of Jeduthun were appointed as gatekeepers.

43 그리고 모든 백성들이 각각 자기 집으로 돌아갔고 다윗도 자기 집을 축복하기 위해 돌아갔습니다.

43 Then all the people returned to their homes, and David turned and went home to bless his own family.
